If you need to watermark images on download, doing it after the batch is finished can double the work. You download the images, open another editor, process the folder again, check the output, and then fix the files that did not match. A better workflow is to configure the watermark before the task runs so the downloaded images are processed consistently.

Bulk Image Downloader Pro supports task-based watermarking with a configured PNG watermark image. The watermark settings live in the options-page workflow, where you can preview placement and save the settings used when real images are processed.

Use a PNG watermark image

The supported watermark workflow uses an uploaded PNG watermark, such as a logo, badge, signature graphic, or transparent overlay. This is important: do not plan the workflow around a separate text-watermark editor. Prepare the watermark as a PNG first, then use it inside the extension.

A transparent PNG usually gives the cleanest result because the logo can sit over different backgrounds without a box around it.

Control opacity and position

Watermarking is not just about placing a logo on every image. The mark has to be visible enough to serve its purpose without ruining the image. Bulk Image Downloader Pro lets you adjust opacity, position, margin, and maximum watermark size before applying the settings to a task.

For subtle branding, use lower opacity and a corner position. For stronger ownership marking, use a more central position or a larger max size, then test the result on a sample image before processing a full batch.

Preview before running the batch

The watermark preview tool exists for a reason. Test the watermark on a sample background, check how it looks in light and dark areas, and confirm that it does not cover important details. A setting that looks fine on one image may be too strong on another, especially across mixed product photos or gallery images.

Once the preview looks right, those settings can inform the task-based watermarking used during downloads.

Combine watermarking with other processing

Watermarking can be part of a larger task workflow. If needed, you can resize images, convert supported output to JPEG, WebP, or PNG, strip EXIF through re-encoding, and apply the configured watermark in the same task. That is useful when you want a batch to arrive closer to publication-ready.

For important projects, run a small sample first. Check image quality, watermark placement, filename rules, output format, and dimensions before committing to the full list.

Use watermarking responsibly

A watermark does not give you rights to images you do not own or have permission to use. Use watermarking for your own assets, licensed files, internal workflows, client-approved images, or branding work where you have the proper rights.
