Most page scans collect more than the photos you wanted—tracking pixels, favicons, avatars, and tiny thumbnails ride along unless you stop them. Filter images by size in the side-panel scraper so junk never reaches your download folder.

Bulk Image Downloader Pro measures width and height as images load in the scraper preview, then applies your thresholds to the current result set.

Step 1: scan the page first

Dimension filters narrow what the scan already found—they do not discover missing images. Start with Scan Current Page. If counts look low on lazy-loaded galleries, run Deep Scan or Continuous Scanning before filtering. Use Area Scan when only one gallery region matters.

Step 2: set width and height thresholds

In the side-panel filter controls, set:

  • minimum width and height to drop 1×1 pixels, icons, and micro-thumbnails
  • maximum width and height when you want to exclude oversized hero assets

Preview survivors in grid or table view before sending anything to a download task. A common starting point for editorial photos is 400×400 px minimum; product grids may need higher bars.

Step 3: combine with shape and type filters

Size alone may not isolate the assets you need. Layer:

  • aspect ratio filters (square, landscape, portrait) for banners vs product shots
  • file type filters for JPG, PNG, WebP, and other supported types
  • domain or URL text search to focus on a CDN path or gallery folder

Save the combination as a Saved Rule when you revisit the same site layout weekly.

Step 4: send the filtered set to download

  1. confirm the filtered count in the side panel
  2. send selected images to the options page as a new task, append, or replace
  3. optionally enable per-task ZIP, Auto Folders, or filename patterns on the options page
  4. download only the URLs that passed your size gate

Need smaller files on disk? Resize on download changes output dimensions—that is separate from scraper filtering. Per task, choose either resize or convert (mutually exclusive). Convert outputs JPG, PNG, or WebP (no AVIF conversion).

Step 5: know the limits

  • filters apply to the current side-panel collection, not to URLs you never scanned
  • reported dimensions come from loaded preview metadata—broken or blocked images may show incomplete data
  • task-level Download IF URL rules filter by URL text, not pixel size—use scraper filters for dimensions
