Download Product Images in Bulk

Catalog work scales fast: hundreds of SKUs, several angles each, one deadline. Learning how to download product images in bulk means replacing page-by-page saving with a list-driven pipeline that names and filters files automatically.

Bulk Image Downloader From URL List scrapes product page URLs, sends image URLs to tasks, and applies Download If rules so badges and thumbnails never land in your folder.

Step 1: load your product URL list

  • paste supplier or storefront URLs into Bulk URL scrape or import a task from CSV (bulk CSV import is Licensed PRO)
  • set max URLs (up to 500) and delay between pages to stay polite
  • run Deep Scan when galleries lazy-load alternate angles
  • review results in grid or table view; sort by dimensions to confirm full-size shots

Step 2: filter junk with Download If URL rules

Product pages mix photos with review stars, payment icons, and recommendation thumbnails. On the options page, stack Download If rules with Contains, Not Contains, or Regex conditions (AND/OR logic):

  • Contains your CDN’s product-image path fragment
  • Not Contains thumb, icon, or sprite
  • Regex for size suffixes when a site serves multiple resolutions

Your source URL list stays intact; rules filter at download time so you can tweak and rerun quickly.

Step 3: name files by SKU

  • use Filename Constructor tokens plus Sequence for ordered variants
  • import a custom filename CSV/TXT aligned to URL order so each image arrives labeled by SKU
  • export the task CSV so the SKU mapping survives browser resets

Step 4: standardize and package

  • resize or convert on download to meet marketplace rules (JPEG/WebP/PNG only; no AVIF conversion output)
  • strip EXIF when catalogs should not carry camera metadata
  • run the perceptual duplicate finder before listing uploads
  • enable per-task ZIP or auto folders (domain / URL fragments) to group by product

Rights and terms

Only download product images you are permitted to use: your own listings, licensed supplier feeds, or explicit authorization. Marketplace and brand rules still apply.

Install the extension when SKU count outgrows manual saving.

Keep products and page clutter apart

Product pages mix photographs with review stars, payment icons, swatches, and recommendation thumbnails. Filter rules on the task let you keep only the paths your own catalogue uses and drop everything else, and the source URL list stays intact so you can adjust a rule and rerun without rebuilding the list.

Match filenames to the catalogue

If your product feed already has a naming convention, the custom filenames list is the cleanest route: provide a CSV or TXT aligned to your URL list and the names arrive already matching your SKU scheme. If you would rather derive names automatically, the filename constructor can build from URL segments and a sequence number instead.

Pace the crawl on supplier sites

Bulk URL scraping can work through a list of product pages with a delay between fetches, up to 500 page URLs per run. On a supplier host you do not control, the delay is not optional courtesy: a fast crawl is the quickest way to get your requests rate-limited or blocked before the list is finished.
