Dozens of sources, each with its own folder rules and filename pattern, do not belong in a single manual task. Organize bulk image downloads from CSV by planning the whole job in a spreadsheet, then importing rows as structured download tasks.

Bulk Image Downloader Pro exports and imports tasks as CSV using schema v4 columns defined in template.csv.

Step 1: start from a real template

Do not guess column names. Either:

  • click Download CSV Template next to the import control on the options page, or
  • configure one task manually and use Export Tasks to capture a working row

Export Tasks works on all license tiers. Bulk CSV import requires Licensed PRO.

Step 2: organize what each row controls

A schema v4 row can carry more than URLs:

  • multiple URLs per task (one URL per line inside the cell)
  • folder and Auto Folders path settings
  • per-task ZIP toggle, file-type filters, and Download IF URL rules
  • Filename Constructor data and custom filename lists
  • processing flags—choose either resize or convert per task (mutually exclusive)
  • optional PNG image watermark JSON (no text watermark)
  • scheduled downloadTime values at least two minutes ahead

Leave unused columns empty; do not rename headers.

Step 3: validate before a large import

Import two or three test rows first. Confirm folders, filename rules, and URL counts look right. Paste URL columns into the 404 checker and redirect checker to drop dead or chained links before the full import. Upload-mode file tasks depend on IndexedDB keys in the same browser—URL-based rows are the portable choice for shared CSV files.

Step 4: import, review, and run

  1. import the completed CSV on Licensed PRO
  2. review generated tasks on the options page
  3. reorder with drag-and-drop, duplicate recurring jobs, or save drafts
  4. run downloads or schedule tasks—Chrome must stay open for scheduled runs

Try PRO keeps one URL per imported task; Licensed PRO removes that cap for full multi-URL rows.

Step 5: keep the spreadsheet as living documentation

Export after major edits so the CSV stays your backup snapshot. Pair imported tasks with Saved Rules for scraper presets when the same sites rerun monthly. The spreadsheet becomes the single source of truth for folders, naming, and filters across teammates.
